Proform 595LE Treadmill Walking Belt servicing?

  • Remove the Phillips head screws on the front motor cover. There are two screws on each side of the treadmill cover for a total of six screws. When the screws are out, remove the cover and expose the treadmill motor.

  • Use a shop cloth to gently wipe any dust away from the motor and cables. Keeping the internal components clean will help them continuously function properly. You may need to use a vacuum to remove excess amounts of dust from the motor housing. Reattach the cover when you're finished dusting.

  • Lift the treadmill belt enough to slide another shop cloth in between the treadmill belt and the treadmill deck. Turn the treadmill on and run it at 2.5 to 3 mph. This will help remove excess and used oil from the treadmill belt, and will remove any static buildup that has accumulated on the belt. Turn the treadmill off after about one minute.

  • Apply new oil to the deck of the treadmill. You do not need to remove the belt to apply new oil. Lift the belt gently off the deck and squeeze small amounts of oil onto the deck. Turn the treadmill on and set the speed for 2.5 mph. Run the belt for two to three minutes. This will allow the new oil to spread over the entire deck. Allow the belt to continue moving for step 5.

  • Find the belt guide bolt on the back of the belt rail. It is an Allen head bolt that adjusts the way the belt rides on the motor rollers. If it is necessary to adjust the treadmill belt, turn the bolt and recenter the belt on the deck.
