Problem with cam synchronizer on 1996 Ford Taurus

If Cam Synchronizer fails,then it has to be replaced.

While replacing,
Just mark the old one an put the new one in in the same spot. In this procedure no need to use the alignment tool, and  put the engine on tdc. After installing start the engine and check,does it  starts right up and seems to run good.
The idle is around 900rpm.If it seems just a bit high. Then it could the synchro not being in the exact spot cause this.

In most cases these method  works just fine as long as you didnt move the engine. In most cases if the synchronizer was installed wrong you would have a check engine light and the engine would not run correctely. If you have no running issues your are likely fine. The idle speed should not have been effected and if it was the idle would likely roll up and down. I would start with making sure someone hasn't screwed the throttle hard stop in a bit and if so back it out a bit to be sure the throttle dosnt stick and it should be fine.

Chirping sound coming from engine?

The noise is high pitched and vehicle is ford taurus.
In most cases the noise you are discribing is cuased by a failing camshaft position sensor synchronizer which is the drive gear for the camshaft position sensor . Its located right next to the thermostat housing on the intake and in most cases it will require replacing to resolve the noise.

The drive gear runs about $156 and the cam sensor run about $36.00 so about $180 in parts and about 1.5 hours in labor will resolve this.

Keyfob remote not working on 2003 Ford E350 Econoline?

In this case,the first thing to be checked is TRANSCEIVER FUSE.This fuses controls the Keyfob working communication on car.

There are 4 fuses you need to check in the interior fuse panel, they are the F2-35, the F2-3, the F2-32 and the F2-4 fuses. In addition also  check F2-5.

If all fuse check ok try reprogramming the FOB once again with the enclosed factory instructions.

The instructions are as follows :----
General Procedures for programing Ford keyless remotes.
NOTE: All remote keyless entry (RKE) transmitters must be programmed at the same time.
NOTE: Programming of the RKE transmitters can be accomplished using a scan tool or by carrying
out the following steps:
1. The vehicle must be electronically unlocked before entering program mode using the RKE
transmitter, keyless entry keypad (if equipped) or door lock control switch while the driver door
is open.
2. Turn the key from OFF to RUN 8 times within 10 seconds, with the eighth turn ending in RUN.
If the module successfully enters the program mode, it locks and then unlocks all doors.
3. Within 210 seconds, press any button on an RKE transmitter, and the doors lock and then
unload to confirm that each RKE transmitter is programed. Repeat this step for each RKE
transmitter.
4. If the door locks do not respond for any RKE transmitter, wait several seconds and press the
button again. If the door locks still fail to respond, refer to Inspection and Verification in this
section. Make sure that no more than the maximum number (4) of RKE transmitters are
attempting to be programmed.
5. Exiting the programming mode is accomplished if one of the following occurs:
The key transitions to the OFF position.
Twenty seconds have passed since entering programming mode or since the last RKE 
transmitter was programmed.
The maximum number (4) of RKE transmitters have been programmed.

But if this detailed instructions are not helping and all the mentioned fuses are checked absolutely ok.
Then its a faulty Keyfob remote.It has to be replaced.

Fuel pump has no power on 2002 ford 350 7.3 diesel?

This was noticed on many other ford models too.
The fuel pump will not get power,but if direct wire run from battery to fuel pump,then fuel pump with start and run.
This clearly indicates,that fuel pump is not faulty,but something is causing  no power issue on fuel pump.

Check for power at Inertia switch.
Try this check for power at the inertia switch after the key is turned on. If you have power at inertia switch,then run a positive wire from battery to the pink wire on the fuel pump and see if the pump runs fine and the truck starts or not.

If this is the case,in your problem,then read as follows :----

The power to the inertia switch come from the fuel pump relay on the Dark/green power wire at the Inertia switch and goes through the switch and out on the Pink/black wire directely to the pump. You need power in and out of the inertia switch while cranking. 

If you have power in and out and none at the Pump then you have a broken wire from the switch to the pump.

Now if you have cranking voltage both in and out of the inertia switch .Then the problem is wire between inertia switch and fuel pump.That wire has to be replaced.
If so then simply overlay a new wire and you should be fine, its much easier than stripping the harness back to find the break. Just be sure to solider the connections on the new wire.

Car stalls when MAF sensor is connected?

Many car models notice this problems.The Engine stalls with MAF sensor plugged in,but when MAF is unplugged,the engine runs smooth with check engine light on dash.

The problem you are discribing in most likely faulty MAFs.But if MAF is replaced with new and still same problem noticed,then  defect is most likely due to a failed PCM (computer) or the connection to it from the MAF to the PCM. That being said, in most cases when the engine runs ok with the MAF unplugged it normaly means the MAF is Bad.

Heat and AC control panel has no power on Lincoln navigator.'
In this cases the first thing to be checked is fuse.

The Control panel is powered up by the #2 fuse and the #22 fuse in the interior fuse panel and if they check ok then you need to remove the controller and check to see if you have key on voltage at the white/violet wire and the red/white power wires at the connector on the controller. If you do and the controller is still blank then it has likely failed.

Fuel pressure and spark is good but ford escort will not start?

Reverse issue.In most of no start problem on car,the fuel pressure is low or spark is the issue.But in this case both major possibility the fuel pressure and spark is good.

The other common possibility on such problem is check engine light on dash.Is there check engine light steady on dash or not.
If yes,then there is definitely error code stored in car computer.The car ECM needs scanning to retrieve error codes.

But in case if there is no check engine light coming on dash,or if there is no error codes stored in cars ECM computer.Then in that case, further troubleshooting is required to confirm the problem.

If you are sure you have good fuel pressure as well as spark and it still dosnt start the next step would be to run a compression test on the engine ,its very likely the timing belt may have jumped and this would cause a not start. If this is the cases you will find low compression on all cylinders.

You need to see at least 100 PSI on each cylinder to start the engine, if it is a lack of fuel,then try spraying starter fluid on throttle body and see if the engine runs or not. If not,then timing belt is the cause of this problem. This engine is a non interference engine and should be fixable. The cost for a new belt runs about 2.7 hours in labor plus about $57 for a new belt.
